So wrong in just so many ways

OK, I am going to preface today’s post by just saying this… O-M-F-G!!

Simple as that.

A friend of mine sent me a link to this toy and since then I have just been trying to figure out why. Why send it to me? And more importantly, why the hell does this exist in the world?

What is it? You tell me.

Yep, you really did just see what you thought you saw.

A toy called You Can Shave The Baby. Seriously though, does anyone really want to do that?… Nope, didn’t think so.

A hairy head, shins, armpits and… oh no you didn’t… groin which actually extends up to the waistline of all places.

What kind of person comes up with this idea? Beats me. Clearly it was some crazy twisted Asian person though.

I don’t know if you noticed, but the package is even covered with a sprinkling of locks that have already been liberated… yikes!

Some of you were a little taken aback when I showed you the anatomically correct Joey Stivic doll from All In The Family (click here for a reminder). But this hirsute doll is orders of magnitude further out there than that.

Before you ask, of course I want one of these. Why? Why do you think… because it is probably the most bizarre toy I have ever seen ever. In the twenty years I have been collecting toys I have not ever encountered anything even remotely close to this. So for the pure shock value I want one… and on that note I’m off… off to go look on eBay to see if they have one listed. I will keep you posted.

POST SCRIPT

I got a little heads up from the ever sleuthful Red Menace that these dolls appear to be part of a Polish art exhibit. Well that explains a bit, now I guess we can all take a big sigh of relief and return to some kind of normality.

Apparently they are the creation of an artist by the name of Zbigniew Libera (click here for a bio).

They say don’t judge a book by its cover, but given he produced this doll I am not sure too many folks would be willing to let this guy baby sit their munchkins.

Ten of these dolls were made so I am guessing my chances of stumbling on one of these on eBay or at a flea market are nigh on impossible, oh well

He has also been resposible for other toy concepts as Ken’s Aunt.

As well as the Lego concentration camp playset!

Well all I can say is this… as much as this guy has something to say he also has some other more deeper issues that require some attention and need to be dealt with.
