In recent history if a show ran for 13 seasons and an astounding 259 episodes you would think that it would have a fair amount of associated merchandise wouldn’t you? Add to that if it was very tied in to pop culture and a prime time animated show on a major network, well you would think that we would never see the end of the branded swag. Well King of the Hill, the tale of a working class family from the heart of Texas, was exactly that… except it spawned next to nothing in the way of product tie ins, curious. There were some action figures made of the main cast of characters but that was pretty much it… well almost.
Today I have a pair of plush items that you won’t see too often.
No they are not super rare, it’s just that the public was not that interested in them at all. Booooooo!
Anyway sit back and enjoy.
Look, it’s little Bobby Hill.
Released in 2000 he is 10″ tall. He was made by a company called Fun4All who also put out a number of items under the South Park and Simpsons banner.
As you can see his clothing is separate from the body and attached in place so as not to fall off.
Of course they made Hank, he is after all the central character in the show. He stands about 14.5″ and has some awesome detailing, I mean look at his belt and watch. Too bad he didn’t come with any propane or propane accessories.
The faces are pretty spot on, the reason being is that they have been embroidered in place. I love it.
You can pick these guys up for under $10 a piece and I tell you what… that’s one hell of a deal.

While it was a decent show, I don’t think it lent it self to merchandise. After all the characters are just average people.
Good likeness’ though.
I didn’t watch the show much. But when I did, I thought it was quite funny. As far as merchandise, I can’t say who their target audience would be.
I always thought the show was funny. They should of made a talking paranoid Dale Gribble doll.
